Should I consider using a mail order pharmacy for my prescription medications?

Plans cannot make their members use a mail-order pharmacy. |

In some cases, this can be a money-saving option, but in others, it can cost more. Consider these two tips. One, check out the projected costs in the Medicare Plan Finder. On the plan comparison page, you can see the total costs (premium plus estimated costs for the drugs) for each retail pharmacy and mail order. Two, dig into the plan details to see whether mail order might same on one or two prescriptions. You are not locked into one pharmacy but can mix and match whatever works best. |
