What is TRICARE?

TRICARE is the health care program serving active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, retirees, their families, survivors and certain former spouses worldwide. 

TRICARE For Life is Medicare-wrap-around coverage available to all Medicare-eligible TRICARE beneficiaries, regardless of age or place of residence. These beneficiaries must have Medicare Parts A and B in order to remain eligible for the program. This coverage acts as a secondary payer to Medicare, covering Medicare’s deductible and coinsurance.
